Identification Resources for Non-Native Species
(Freshwater, Marine, Wetland)

Below are links to resources that may assist you in the identification of aquatic and wetland nuisance species found in the NEANS region*. The icons in the right-hand column indicate which organism types can be found on each list. Identification from photos and internet sources can be useful but is not a substitute for examination by qualified experts. If you are at all unsure of your ID, expert confirmation is recommended.

If your organization has an identification resource that is not included below, let us know at info@northeastans.org.
